Happylands is celebrating 35 years in childcare!
A Bit More About Us
Happylands Private Day Nursery, Warndon Villages, Worcester is a privately owned nursery situated in the community square next to the Lyppard Grange Community Centre, in a purpose built nursery building.

We care for children 3mths – 5yrs of age, for a minimum of two days to full time.
​
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm.
​
We close for all bank holidays and a week at Easter and Christmas.

Close: Wednesday 24.12.25 at 2pm Re-open: Friday 02.01.26 at 8am

Close: Thursday 02.04.26 at 6pm Re-open: Monday 13.04.26 at 8am

Carole
Owner
Carole is a qualified State Registered Nurse and midwife. She opened her first nursery in 1990 when pregnant with her first child and Lyppard Grange Nursery in 1998.
Emily
Manager, Health and Safety Officer and DSL
Emily joined Happylands in January 2011 achieved her level 3 in Childcare, although this wasn't her first Happylands experience - she was among one of the first children who attended the nursery in 1990! After several years working with the children in the rooms she became a manager in 2021.
Sophie
Deputy Manager, DSL and Forrest
school Leader
Sophie started at Happylands in 2024 and has a level 3 diploma in children and young people workforce. She is also the co - deputy manager and has completed her forest school leader training. Sophie has a passion for the great outdoors and when not at work is traveling in her renovated camper van.
Sue
Nursery Practitioner
Sue joined nursery in March 2008 and holds a NVQ 3 in childcare. Sue has many years experience in various nurseries around Worcester starting her childcare career in 1995. Sue enjoys spending time with her five adult children and her many delightful grandchildren.
Rhi
Nursery Practitioner
Rhiannon started as bank staff at Happylands while she was studying for her NVQ level 3 in health and social care and became a full time member of staff on completion in 2023.
At home she loves to watch the F1 with her husband and two cats Frank and Thea.
Jenna
Nursery Practitioner
Jenna began her Happylands career as an apprentice in 2023 and has since earned a level 3 in early years educating. She spends her time reading, building legos and riding her motorbike to work.
Jo
Nursery Practitioner
Jo joined Happylands in 2023 and has a level 3 diploma in the children's and young people workforce. She likes to use her spare time to catch up with her two adult children and playing with her three cats, Lily, JJ and Weenie.
Paulina
Nursery Practitioner
Paulina loved the nursery as a Happylands parent and became part of the team in September 2017 and is a Level 3 NVQ qualified nursery nurse. She is the craft queen of the nursery and you can always find her with her sewing kit on hand.
Nina
Nursery Practitioner
Nina is a Happylands bank staff member and has a NVQ 3 in childcare. She has two grown up children and is an very active member of the local got 2 sing choir.
Laura
Nursery Manager, SENCo and DSL
Laura joined us in September 2010 as a qualified primary school teacher and has been the Nursery manager since January 2018.
Alison
Deputy Manager, DSL and Forest School Leader
Alison joined us in October 2012 with a n NVQ 3 in childcare. Since then she has since completed her foundation degree in Early Years and continued on to achieve a BA (hons) degree in 2023. She is also co - deputy manager and a qualified Forest School Leader.
Emma
Nursery Practitioner
Emma is our longest serving member of staff; starting in 2003. She has BTEC diploma level 3 and level 4 in childcare management she is a mum to lovely twins Oliver and Grace.
Kim
Nursery Practitioner
Kim joined Happylands as her first job in September 2009 following the successful completion of her BTEC diploma level 3 in childcare. Kim is Mummy to two lovable sons Alfie and Arlo and enjoys singing in a local choir.
Mia
Nursery Practitioner
Mia joined us in 2020 following the successful completion of her NVQ level 3 in childcare. She enjoys journaling, colouring and general crafting when at home along with attending as many music concerts as she can.
Charlotte
Nursery Practitioner
Charlotte joined us in 2022 and has a BTEC in childhood studies. She enjoys going for long runs, exercising and spending time with her extended family - particularly her cheeky nephews!
Annalise
Nursery Practitioner
Annalise has a BTEC for early years practitioners and joined us in 2024. She is proud mother to Martha and spends her time doing fun activities with her and her husband.
Molly
Nursery Practitioner
Molly was a student at Happylands for two years while studying for a T-level in childcare before joining the team officially as bank staff in 2025.
Charlotte
Nursery Cook
Charlotte started in 2025 and cooks the children a variety of delicious, nutritional home cooked meals.
