A Bit More About Us

Happylands Private Day Nursery, Warndon Villages, Worcester is a privately owned nursery situated in the community square next to the Lyppard Grange Community Centre, in a purpose built nursery building.

We care for children 3mths – 5yrs of age, for a minimum of two days to full time.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am- 6pm.

We close for all bank holidays and a week at Easter and Christmas

Closed Friday 07.04.2023      Re-open   Monday 17.04.2023 at 8 am

Christmas       

Friday 22.12.2023 at 2 pm        Re-open   Tuesday 02.01.2024 at 8 am

Carole Pugh

Owner

Carole is a qualified State Registered Nurse and midwife. She opened her first nursery in 1990 and Lyppard Grange Nursery in 1998.

Emily Brown

Manager, Health and Safety Manager and DSL

Emily joined Happylands in January 2011 achieved her level 3 in Childcare, although this wasn't her first Happylands experience - she was among one of the first children who attended the nursery in 1990! Emily has recently taken on the responsibility of office manager

Sue Maguire

Nursery Practitioner

Sue joined nursery in March 2008 and holds a NVQ 3 in childcare. Sue has 15 years experience in various nurseries around Worcester. Sue enjoys spending with her 5 children and her delightful grandchildren

Amy Carter

Nursery Practitioner 

Amy joined us in December 2021, having worked and managed in a number of different nurseries. She moved to Worcester to follow her passion of being a practitioner supporting children to learn through play.

Alexia Seal

Nursery Apprentice (Level 2)

Alexia (Lex) loved her experiences at Happylands nursery so much as a child she has decided to train to be a nursery nurse with us! She has begun her apprenticeship to gain a Level 2 Early Years practitioner qualification.

Paulina Marton

Nursery Practitioner

Paulina loved the nursery as a Happylands parent and became part of the team in September 2017 and is a Level 3 NVQ qualified nursery nurse with a strong passion for working with children of all ages.

Elle Moss

Nursery Practitioner 

Elle joined us in the Summer of 2020 after completing her level 3 in children's play, learning and development

Chloe Chatt

Nursery Practitioner 

We welcomed Chloe into the Tiggery-Tigers team in August she has completed a BA (hons) in Early Childhood Studies. She has settled into her full-time role and fully embraced the children’s love of singing, particularly ‘Frozen’ as she now knows all the words to ‘Let it go!’. In her spare time Chloe enjoys watching films, going on family weekends away and seeing friends.

Laura Sankey

Nursery Manager, SENCo and DSL

Laura joined us in September 2010 as a qualified primary school teacher and has been the Nursery manager since January 2018.

Emma Westmacott

Nursery Practitioner

Emma is our longest serving member of staff; starting in 2003. She has BTEC diploma level 3 and level 4 in childcare management she is a mum to lovely twins Oliver and Grace.

Kim Sanders

Nursery Practitioner 

Kim joined Happylands as her first job in September 2009 following the successful completion of her BTEC diploma level 3 in childcare. Kim is Mummy to two lovable sons Alfie and Arlo.

Alison May

Deputy Manager, DSL and Forest School Leader

Alison joined us in October 2012. She has a NVQ 3 in childcare, has completed her foundation degree in Early Years in 2020 and is continuing to study to achieve a BA (hons) degree. Alison has also achieved a Forest School Leader qualification.

Adeline Sims

Nursery Cook

Adeline became the nursery cook in September 2016 and has gained a level 3 in food hygiene and safety as well as completing food allergy awareness training.

Kassiani Khoury

Nursery Practitoner 

Kassiani achieved her BA (hons) in Early Childhood in May 2020 and joined is in September that year.

Mia joins us in September following the successful completion of her NVQ level 3 in childcare.

Samantha Bodley

Nursery Apprentice (Level 3)

Sam has recently joined us after gaining a Level 3 in Health and Social Care she is eager to learn more about child development so has begun her apprenticeship training to achieve a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
